Ann is an authority on the topics of Stress, Wellbeing and Resilience. She brings her scientific and medical research background to simplify recent leaps in knowledge of Neuroscience which have clarified the Mind Body connection.
Ann carried out post graduate research relating to Rheumatoid Arthritis and held scientific managerial posts, directing research to measure antibiotic residues in meat and fish and monitored the development of antibiotic resistance. She led Medical Laboratory advising local GPs and Consultants on Microbiological findings.
Ann lived in Dubai for 2 years where she explored the different culture and had the opportunity to teach music to pre school and school children.
On returning to the UK, Ann’s scientific experience was channelled into teaching Biology, working with young people from 11 – 18. This honed her training skills and 10 years later she launched her Private Practice after training as a Stress Management Practitioner, Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner.
Since then Ann has worked with over 2,000 clients, adding further skills to her already extensive repertoire – Reiki 2, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitising & Reprogramming (EMDR), CBT, Management and Emotional Intelligence Coaching.
In conjunction with her Private Practice, Ann was Director of AMC2, a company focused on training for Managers and colleagues to achieve Wellbeing and Resilience and avoidance of Stress. She has worked with PLCs, SME’s and Public Sector organisations for the last 18 years
With her colleague Jenny Edwards, Ann wrote an ISMAuk accredited e-learning programme on Stress, Wellbeing & Resilience which now resides on www.e-careers.com.
As Chair of the International Management Association in the UK (ISMAuk) from 2004 – 8 Ann regularly gave radio interviews to local and national networks and wrote copy for magazines. She was interviewed by Jenni Murray for the Raodio 4 programme, Woman’s Hour on the topic of Stress and the fact it is not good for you.
Since 2003 Ann has developed her Key Note speaker profile at conferences throughout the UK and India on a wide variety of topics including her beloved ‘Gremlins’.
